The Bob Ezrin Model
The Bob Ezrin Model
The Ezrin Model began with the idea to develop a guitar that would be a versatile tool in the studio and allow players to channel some of the most legendary guitarists that Bob Ezrin has recorded.
Ezrin’s unique insights gained through his decades of experience working with players such as David Gilmour, Trey Anastasio, Steve Hunter, and Steve Morse were the driving influence behind the sonic characteristics of the Ezrin Model.
The Frank Brothers and Ezrin worked hand in hand to design a guitar with a full and balanced eq, excellent acoustics, a clear and articulate voice, and flexible electronics.
Crafted in Ezrin’s hometown of Toronto, this instrument represents the sound that one of music’s most iconic producers wants to hear in a guitar.
Electronics
The custom Seymour Duncan pickups feature splittable Humbuckers via a push/pull switch on the Tone control while the 5-Way blade switch allows you to select the S-Style Single Coil in the middle position giving you classic single coil spank and cut, or a combination of the middle pickup, humbuckers, and split humbuckers giving you a wide variety of voicings to suit any situation.
Semi-hollow Design
The semi-hollow body design with a single bass-side F-Hole gives the Ezrin Model loads of acoustic charm and projection while the centre block style construction reduces the risk of feedback. An extra deep body adds to the acoustic volume and clarity and provides the player with a rich, warm, and balanced tone.
Set Neck with Extra Deep Tenon
An extra deep neck tenon provides a solid connection that is crucial to a great guitar. We meticulously fit the tenon and set the neck angle for a perfect marriage of the neck and body allowing for added resonance and sustain.
The Lumber
Spanish Cedar is commonly used in Classical and Flamenco guitars and was selected for the Ezrin Model for its warm rich tone, resonance, light weight, and beauty. This wood is also used for cigar humidors and it’s distinct cedar-like smell can be detected through the soundhole of the Ezrin Model and is instantly recognizable to any cigar enthusiasts.
